The light on a crisp, clear midwinter's day can be nothing short of breathtaking - the colours become so vivid and energising, and nowhere more so than at the coast. On just such a perfect day we walked the length of Hayle's 3 miles of golden sands, admiring the skill of the surfers and the reflections in the sand. This shot captures that invigorating feeling - enhanced by someone else having been brave enough to catch a few waves!
