Fine Bone China Dunoon Mug - Glencoe Shape

This oversized mug, named after one of the greatest Glens in Scotland 'Glencoe', is one of our oldest shapes, yet remains one of our most striking. It has a great presence and our informative and educational patterns have remained the most popular designs on this shape. It has a flared top and a strong, comfortable handle so it feels very solid to hold.

This Glencoe mug from Dunoon features an incredible design by Caroline Dadd. This VE Day commemorative mug is adorned with bold colours and features large letters that read 'VE Day' and a banner underneath showing the date. Surrounding this are the many flags of the countries involved in the ‘Victory in Europe’. Below is an illustration of ‘war time heroes’ celebrating Germany’s surrender in WWII. On the reverse is a timeline of key events from World War II and down the handle is The Enigma Machine. Inside the rim of this fabulous mug are the words ‘V.E. Day 75^th Anniversary May 8^th 1945-2020’ and union jack bunting.
