Carmen Roome has skilfully designed this stunning piece to compliment the wider collection by using the well-known Old Imari pattern around the base. Elsewhere on the piece, Carmen has delved into the Royal Crown Derby archive and has used a lesser known version of the pattern which has elaborate red florals and pointed wispy gold leaves. The leaf detail has been used to depict the dog's fur and ears, creating a sense of athleticism and alertness, traditional attributes of the ultimate country dwellers companion.
